MINIBALL

Good morning everyone, here is the draw for the Glenholme Eruera miniball team for their game on Friday evening.

Glenholme Eruera - Court 1 @ 8.05pm

Here are some REMINDERS from Rotorua Basketball

Players & team staff (Coach/Manager/Scoretable) come to the door to sign in on arrival.

They will then move to the allocated bay in the foyer to wait for the rest of the team and their game (teams playing on court 3 may be escorted upstairs to the far end corner to wait, if the team is all present).

Spectators, may start coming in once the Sportsdrome has been cleared from the previous round.

Spectators – complete contact tracing form and we encourage those with the app to scan the code for their personal use.

Please impress on your parents, caregivers and whanau that we can’t have them waiting in the foyer with the teams – there is just not enough room for everyone.
Thank you – Let’s Stay Calm & Stay Safe

Our School

We are one of Rotorua’s longest established schools, with a loyal and committed community support network and a strong reputation for being  friendly, supportive environment, while meeting the needs of our diverse students.

We have a successful values programme based around the themes of Achievement, Respect, Integrity, Diversity and Excellence.

Learning and student achievement is at the heart of everything that happens at Glenholme School.

Staff and Board of Trustees ensure that we provide our students with the skill, will and thrill to become assessment capable learners.

E-learning

We are fortunate at Glenholme to have a generous number of e-learning devices throughout the school. Most classes operate on a 1:2 device to student ratio and we encourage collaborative learning with the use of these devices.

Children in the junior school get a solid grounding in the use of iPads and a number of apps are used as a way for children to present, create and share their work with their peers, teachers and whanau.

As children progress through the school, Chromebooks are introduced as a tool to allow increased independence in students learning and research, as well as being a useful tool for sharing and collaborating on their work.

Home/School Partnerships

Partnerships are collaborative relationships that continue to support students’ learning. Effective partners complement and respect one another and value each other‘s contribution. Together they form a network of significant people with a common interest in a child‘s learning.

In 2019 Glenholme School will utilise a variety of approaches for sharing information and discussing learning with families. Glenholme School encourages parents to pop into classrooms and touch base with the classroom teacher.

When student‘s teachers and their families take advantage of informal face to face encounters to show a warm personal interest in each other and in building a relationship, the development of an effective home-school partnership is facilitated.

Our Community

Glenholme School is a thriving inner city Rotorua School, with a diverse student group. The school is a contributing primary, with a stable roll of 395.

The strength of Glenholme School is the diverse community, with many of Rotorua‘s ethnic groups represented. We currently have 43% Maori, 32% European, and growing number of Pasifika, Indian and Filipino students and families.

Glenholme is one of Rotorua‘s longest established schools, with a strongly loyal and committed group of supporters.

Our location, facilities and focus on educational excellence attracts parents and families from around the Rotorua region and not just the inner city.
